Copy Edit

What are you getting?


A copy edit to revise mechanical errors (such as: spelling, punctuation, word omissions, and capitalization) and inquiries regarding redundant passages, factual inconsistencies, and possible revisions to wordy or confusing passages. I will ensure your original voice remains intact.

Edits will be completed using Track Changes in Microsoft Word or Google Docs.


Who should get this service?


For authors who have already received significant feedback from a developmental editor and/or alpha and beta readers who have provided feedback on tone, style, and character/worldbuilding.

Rate $.01 per word

Sample edits of approximately 1000 words are offered

free of charge to new clients or existing clients with drastic genre or voice change.

A final read through before publication to clear up any spelling, punctuation and grammar errors. Markup will be completed using Microsoft Word, Track Changes.


Who should get this service?


For authors who are ready to publish and have already gone through developmental and copy editing. This service is best for those who have formatting complete with headers, chapter titles/numbers, page numbers, and a table of contents.

Basic Book Formatting

What are you getting?

A basic format package utilizing Atticus formatting software and one of their 17 predesigned themes.

This includes:

  • Chapter titles/numbers

  • page numbering

  • book title and author headings

  • table of contents

This also includes specialty pages such as:

  • blurbs/reviews page*

  • copyright page*

  • trigger/content warning page*

  • title page**

  • also by page*

  • Prologue/foreward/epilogue/Afterward*

  • acknowledgements*

  • about the author* (photo optional)

  • Coming soon* - upcoming book snippet and introduction page**

*verbiage for these pages to be provided by the author.

**This page will match the pre-formatted design selected. You are welcome to provide a custom designed title page and I will upload as a full bleed image. I will provide you with sizing specifications.

I will provide you with a two page screen shot (title page and chapter 1) of up to 5 themes that match your book's content. Once a theme is selected I will complete the formatting and submit for your review in PDF format. I will provide minor changes to the specialty pages order and design (as the software allows) up to 2 times. I will provide an overall theme change up to 1 time. 

My ultimate goal is for you to be as proud of the style and design of your book as you are of its contents. I will work with everyone as best as possible to make this happen.

You will get two final products for upload: a PDF for hardcover/trade upload and an ePUB for ebook uploads. Compatible with Amazon and Ingram Spark.
